I find it fascinating how, in reality, we are simultaneously the protagonist/antagonist/supporting/major/minor/recurring/one-dimensional characters in each other’s story. We move in and out of these characters in everyday life without even realizing that, beyond our own narrative, we may actually be the most significant part in someone else’s day or simply a mere backdrop. Our understanding of each other is porous, shifting, half-filled and pieced together from multiple people’s narratives, but it’s the totality of all of these stories that make up our reality.
